WELCOME TO OUR GUILD

Please note: all meetings are canceled until further notice, due to coronavirus restrictions.

PLYMSTOCK AFTERNOON TOWNSWOMEN'S GUILD is part of a national women's organization affiliated to our local Plymouth and West Devon federation, which consists of six Guilds within the city and surrounding area.

Our Federation have events throughout the year; these include coffee mornings, a rally, quiz and yearly carol service held in the Minster Church of Saint Andrews.

We currently have about 30 members, with a wide range of interests.

MEETINGS

Plymstock afternoon TG meet at 2:00pm on the second Tuesday of each month. We meet in the Plymstock Community Centre, (at the far end of the Broadway car park). more

GROUPS

Within the Guild are special interest groups. These are the Scrabble & Cards group, and the Diners Group.

Guild quiz

Quiz afternoon at the local community centre.

WE WOULD LOVE YOU TO COME AND JOIN US, where you can enjoy tea or coffee with friends, and you could even start up a group with people who have the same interests as yourself. Guest speakers frequently visit our meetings and the Guild arrange occasional trips to interesting locations. If you are interested just CONTACT US.

Cutting the cake.

On Tuesday March 10th 2020 our Guild celebrated its 55th birthday Annette made the cake, which was cut by Sally and Daphne. This was enjoyed by the members, after the afternoon meeting.

On 15th April 2019we celebrated 90years of TG with a lunch. Here Jean Fitzpatrick of Plymstock Guild is being presented with her 70year salver by Jean Watkins our Area Rep who joined us for the lunch.

BICTON TRIP

Bicton Railway.

On Friday September 7th 2018 The Guild had a day out to Bicton Gardens in East Devon. Members enjoyed the extensive garden there and were able to ride on the narrow gauge railway that goes around the grounds. The group stopped at a restaurant and retail centre for a meal and shopping on the way home.
